Please see above the range of costs for Sale, Purchase and Remortgage/Transfer of Equity. The costs can vary considerably depending on the complexity, purchase price, tenure etc. When requesting a quotation we will obtain all required information of the transaction and supply you with a detailed written quotation before instruction. The quotation will be fixed, unless there are extenuating circumstances not known at the quote stage. We confirm that if this happens you will be made aware of any changes before proceeding any further.
Our estimate will include dealing with obtaining ID verification and source of funds information, the obtaining of the necessary documentation to enable the preparation and submission of a draft Contract pack on your sale; the obtaining of pre-Contract searches on your purchase/remortgage (these searches do not include a survey/valuation which you will need to organise) and reporting to you thereon; the investigation of title on a purchase and the raising of pre-contract enquiries and ensuring that we get satisfactory replies to the same together with all necessary certificates etc for any improvements or alterations made to the property; responding to pre-contract enquiries on your sale (with your assistance), and reporting to you on your purchase. Once all the legal pre-contract formalities have been completed, our fee also includes exchanging Contracts on your sale and purchase and for dealing with completion and all post completion formalities such as the payment of Stamp Duty and registration at the Land Registry.
As a general guide, an average transaction may take 6-8 weeks to exchange contracts with completion following a week or two later. However, it may happen more quickly or more slowly depending on individual circumstances and the length of the chain. We will, of course, do everything we can to progress your transaction as quickly as possible.

The Range of Costs do not include disbursements/expenses which are charged on all matters. Typical disbursements/expenses are as follows:-
